Project Battleship SS. Bomberaudio
this is all being copy and pasted form another forum so il split it up into different posts for ease of loading, all from how i bought the car to how it is now, and only spanning the space of a month!
23/07/10
it be a mk3 golf 1.9 tdi! Its in great condition for the price, needs some work to get drivable (needs new gearbox and suspension) but the engine runs great! Pulls like a train and sounds great for its age.
Dont let the look of the car fool you as the final outcome of this car will be soo much different to the pics below...talking of pics, here ya go!

more progress, started smoothing the bootlid, fitted a plate into the numberplate recess, cut out the wiper mount and preped it for blanking, and preped the badge recess with holes for the filler to 'grip' then the first layer of filler over the top of it all
also piced up today a full VR6 big brake conversion and coilovers, will all be restored

picked up my donor car yesterday, which contained a rather fetching set of cloth VR6 seat amongst other things eg the gearbox and stuff i need, was sold as a dead car witch needed trailering, got there, hit it with a hammer and changed the battery and drove it home lol, now driving it around till the project is finished
heres the seats anyway, soo comfy

well here is a pic of the worst rust on the car, which is on the front drivers arch
so pulled the offending wing off to be replaced with one off the vento
now let the sanding begin! So far done the rear passenger quarter, boot shut, and rear passenger door shut, the rest to be done tonight

Re: Project Battleship SS. Bomberaudio
well heres some more pics, look at the lows compaired to the tolly
you will have to egnore the doors tho as they have not been painted yet as im still working on them
I <3 SPEEDBUMPS
lets do some more custom work, start by covering bits or card in masking tape
then put all the taped card in position
then a generous coat of fibreglass over it all
